Novembre
tempo di Paris Photo, di Grand Palais e di foto
incredibili da cui vorrei essere subissata. Vediamo che cosa ci perdiamo quest’anno, anche se ammetto che ospitare
su ElectroMode simili scatti è per me già un piacere indicibile. Ok, andiamo
avanti.
Per
la 17esima edizione - dal 14 al 17 novembre - cresce ancora
il numero di espositori con ben 28 nuove gallerie tra cui ovviamente nessuna
italiana (d’altra parte basta pensare alla triste storia dello Spazio Forma di Milano per trarre
qualche conclusione).
In
tema di mostre, il programma prevede l’esposizione delle acquisizioni recenti
dell’Instituto Moreira Salles di Rio
de Janeiro, dell’Art Gallery of Ontario di
Toronto e del Museum Folkwang di Essen,
mentre per la serie Private Collection
sarà presentata una selezione della collezione Harald Falckenberg.
Poi ci saranno
i Photobook Awards in collaborazione
con la Aperture Foundation e le mostre dei partner di Paris Photo 2013: Aqua #4 di
Giorgio Armani, Best Picture della
J.P. Morgan, Les Glorieux della
giovane Marion Gronier patrocinata da BMW Art & Culture e quella su Cedric
Gerbehaye promossa da Leica.
Fittissima
l’agenda di incontri e dibattiti e, per chi avesse qualcosa da farsi
autografare, saranno presenti Paolo Roversi, Elliott Erwitt, Martin Parr (che
ha curato anche la mostra Open Book),
Mitch Epstein, Olivo Barbieri, Sebastião Salgado e tanti altri.
November, it’s time to discover Paris Photo, the Grand Palais and a lot of photos. For the 17th edition (14-17
November) the number of the exhibitors has increased with 28 new galleries.
About the exhibitions, the plan
includes Private Collection - a
selection of the Harald Falckenberg’s collection - and the presentation of the
recent photography acquisitions of three museums: the Instituto Moreira Salles (Rio de Janeiro), the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto) and the Museum Folkwang (Essen). Then there is gonna be the Photobook Awards in collaboration with
Aperture Foundation and the exhibitions of the Paris Photo 2013 partners: Aqua
#4 sponsored by Giorgio Armani, Best
Pictures by J.P. Morgan, Les Glorieux
by Marion Gronier sponsored by BMW Art & Culture and that one dedicated to
Cedric Gerbehaye supported by Leica.
The agenda also comprises conversations,
discussions whit photographers like Paolo Roversi, Elliott Erwitt, Martin Parr,
Mitch Epstein, Olivo Barbieri, Sebastião Salgado and many more.

molto interessanti le esposizioni allestite dalle gallerie. Si potranno esplorare
i paesaggi urbani di Lara Dhondt, i
lavori del pioniere del digitale Paul Thorel (da Guido Costa, unico italiano) o
ancora percorsi tematici tipo Youth
da Christophe Guye,
